"One foggy night..."

Films: The Fog (1980)

Alias: Blake Flowers, many others

Type: Mystical

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Evil

Summary: If your town was built on the blood and murder of a few good men, you'd bet your sorry ass that those people will NEVER stop thinking about it, even in death. And sometimes, not even death can keep them away forever.

History: In what would become Antonio Bay, California, near the close of the 19th century, the crew of Blake Flowers, a leper bunch hoping to form a colony there, got there ship sunk so that the perpetrators could raid the gold and use it to build the town. Now, after a century, Blake is back along with his crew and ship, the Elizabeth Dane. Their coming is heralded by a strange fog, and their goal is to kill six, the same number of people who killed them in the first place.

Notable Kills: See Final Fate.

Final Fate: Eventually, the town priest gives Blake a large cross made of the stolen gold. It glows, and seemingly drives the revenants and the fog away. However, it's just a tactic so that the priest ends up the 6th victim via decapitation. Supposedly, this rampage puts their souls at ease.

Powers/Abilities: They retain their intelligence, and travel via the fog that follows them.

Weakness: Things made of their gold have a chance of driving them away. Otherwise, they will leave when six are dead.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-If you live in Antonio Bay, you better pray that you're not one of the six targets. Otherwise, you'll be helpless as the fog closes in, along with the murderous, red-eyed revenants...

Trivia: -Director John Carpenter claims that the film's premise was mostly inspired by "The Trollenburg Terror". Yes, the film with the Crawling Eyes.

-This film was promoted in the U.S. as "Killer Snakes...the Hiss of Death".

Prepare for things to get mucky as Hell.

"Lend a hand, please. I can't see anything in my own damn fog!"

Micheal Meyers was, at least, corperal.

"Land ho, boys! Now, our vengeance is at hand!"

Hitch-hiking was still a lost art to them.
Don't stick out your tongue. We just don't do that here.

Even their bones are afflicted!

And strangle you like Homer Simpson does Bart.

Had this been in the modern age, their target would have been Alex Jones.

"Nice cross. We're taking it."
